CEDAP 2007 (April, 2007)
The DHS CEDAP 2007 (Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program) application period is open from April 25 to June 29, 2007. The applications are accessed via the RKB (Responder Knowledge Base) web site. AristaTek is included as a vendor with a product offering in 2005, 2006 and again in 2007. Check the latest status of the CEDAP information at http://www.rkb.mipt.org/.

58th Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (September, 2006)
AristaTek has been invited to make a presentation to the 58th Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, Augusta, GA. The presentation will be part of the Chemical Health & Safety Workshop session on "HAZMAT Incident Response Issues", Nov. 3, 2006.

Ohio HAZMAT Teams Conference (September, 2006)
AristaTek has been invited to lead a breakout session at the 7th Annual Ohio HAZMAT Teams Conference on October 21, 2006. The conference will be in Solon, OH with an expected attendance of 180-200 Hazmat Technicians and Hazmat Specialists.

CEDAP Phase III - UPDATE (August, 2006)
DHS has made a "slight" change to the CEDAP Phase III catalog. The PEAC Incident Command Kit will not be offered as described in AristaTek's "The First Responder" July 2006 newsletter article. Rather Phase III will offer the same combination as was offered in the Phase II catalog. The CEDAP Phase III application process was opened on the RKB (Responder Knowledge Base) web site on August 16, 2006 and will close on September 22, 2006. CEDAP Phase III (July, 2006)
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Grants & Training (OGT) formerly the Office of State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness (SLGCP) is providing equipment to smaller agencies through a new and innovative pilot program. The Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP) is designed to fill gaps with small agencies in areas of equipment they have not previously been able to acquire through other sources. In May 2006, AristaTek in conjunction with Davis Defense Group (DDG) located in Quantico, VA submitted a proposal to the Electronic Proving Grounds Special Programs Office, Fort Huachuca, AZ that acted as the contracting agency for DHS’s CEDAP. The proposal was reviewed, evaluated, and was accepted as one of many products to make a presentation to the DHS “subject matter experts” in Orlando on June 21, 2006. On July 18, 2006, Davis Defense Group and AristaTek were notified of acceptance by DHS to the CEDAP Phase III. The PEAC-WMD software bundled with hardware will be one of the products available in the CEDAP catalog, which is to be available for examination on the Responder Knowledge Base (RKB) http://www.rkb.mipt.org/ on August 1, 2006 when applications will be accepted. Workshop at Continuing Challenge in Sept 2006 - Sacramento, CA (June, 2006)
AristaTek will conduct a workshop course at the Continuing Challenge Hazmat conference. The focus of the workshop will be on the new PEAC-WMD computational tools designed to assist First Responders having to deal with Hazmat or CBRNE events.

Presentation at International Hazardous Materials Response Teams Conference in June 2006 (March, 2006)
AristaTek has been accepted to make a presentation Saturday, June 3, 10:15 AM (Session TW04) at the Hunt Valley, MD conference. The focus of the presentation will be on the new PEAC-WMD computational tools designed to assist First Responders having to deal with Hazmat or CBRNE events.

NY State Hazardous Materials Seminar (February, 2006)
AristaTek has been invited to present a series of hands on workshop classes during the 13th Annual Hazardous Materials Seminar presented by the New York State Department of State Office of Fire Prevention and Control at the Senator Frederick L. Warder Academy of Fire Science located in Montour Falls, NY on Feb. 17-19, 2006. There will be nine (9) different classes available during the weekend seminar with each class offered multiple times. Other classes will be presented by Glen Rudner (HazMat Officer with the State of Virginia), Barry Lindley (a DuPont chemist and HazMat Responder), David Ghormley (Rohm & Hass), Fred Cowie, Robert Hare (Nassau County), and Anthony Murray (US DOT).

New Product Announcement (July, 2005)
AristaTek, Inc. announces the impending release in October 2005 of an important new tool for hazardous material responders. The new product, internally named Diamond, will provide never before available personal protective equipment (PPE) information and calculations for hazardous material responders faced with making decisions about entry into a toxic environment. Integrating databases and calculation tools from private manufacturers, NIOSH, and government chemical warfare agent testing, Diamond will greatly simplify a complex decision making process by providing users with a simple, easy to use system for evaluating and mitigating the risks of entry into environments contaminated by toxic levels of chemical warfare agents or toxic industrial chemicals. Diamond has been developed under contract with the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) and funding from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Diamond will be available for both Windows (XP/2000/ME/98) and Pocket PC operating systems.

PEAC-WMD v5.1 released (April, 2005)
AristaTek released the latest version of the PEAC-WMD software for Windows and Pocket PC.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (April, 2003)
US military forces in the “Operation Iraqi Freedom” are using PEAC-WMD software.

Afghanistan (January, 2002)
PEAC-WMD software is being used in Afghanistan by US Special Operations Forces.
