Interoperability and Communications Tools
During an incident a user may need to share information with others not physically on site. Sharing information digitally, particularly if the information is substantial in quantity and/or graphical in nature, e.g., maps of hazard zones, is easily facilitated with the PEAC tool’s e-mail function.
When the user initiates the e-mail function, a window appears to provide a list of all topics and documents which may be transmitted related to the specific substance(s) encountered at the incident. The user then selects the appropriate documents and information to be sent as a PDF attachment to the e-mail.
Email capability requires a local email application and Internet connectivity.
