Chief Plenty Coups, a Crow Chief
Chief Plenty Coups firmly believed in education and felt that it would raise the quality of life and pride for the Crow nation. He was a great negotiator and was sent to Washington many times. During this time period, native tribes were shipped to other areas of the country and put on reservations. Chief Plenty Coups managed to persuade the Government to allow the Crow live on their own home ground.
