The employee for this month is our Office Manager, Barb Coulthard, who is the first person you will speak with when you call us.  Barb has only been with us for a few months, but she comes to us with extensive career experience.  She spent over 25 years as a Senior
Contract Specialist and Negotiator for the Department of Defense.  She is also on the Board of Directors of ‘Power Pak Systems, Inc.,’ another local manufacturer of low voltage power sources for communications and standby power for emergency and disaster situations.  She worked a couple of years as the Office Manager for a Wyoming owned trucking firm, dealing with payroll, scheduling, accounting, personnel files, telephone, all correspondence, etc., but she put her foot down when it came to driving 18 wheelers.
 
She lived and worked in Alaska for about 20 years in the Fairbanks and Anchorage area and contends that Alaska is ‘The great land.’  She occasionally refers to us as ‘You people in the lower 48 states,’ but we overlook this shortcoming as her fishing stories are great and she has pictures of the ones that didn’t get away.  She tells us about 90 pound cabbages, 1000 pound halibut and the trials and tribulations of the construction of the ‘Trans-Alaska Pipeline’, but sometimes we just think she spent too many long winter nights suffering with cabin fever.
 
Barb is very proud of her 19-year-old daughter, who is currently studying ‘Business Administration’ and assisting her father with trade shows all over the country.
 
Barb enjoys reading, puzzles, logic games and crocheting when she gets a spare minute or two.
